ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing client company in the Fresno area. In this role, you will support the accounting department with day-to-day financial operations and reporting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal management reports
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records in compliance with company policies
• Collaborate with senior accounting staff and respond to audit requests and inquiries

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred; recent graduates with relevant internship experience encouraged to apply
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• CPA candidacy or interest in pursuing CPA licensure is a plus
