Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing client organization in the Fresno area. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take ownership of complex financial processes. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Manage the full general ledger close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit preparation
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
CPA license or active CPA candidacy strongly preferred
Minimum of 4 to 6 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage, along with advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Experience in public accounting or a corporate accounting environment is a plus
