Salary: $80,000–$85,000 per year, depending on experience

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing advanced accounting functions, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring accuracy and compliance across accounting operations. This role plays a key part in month-end close, financial analysis, and process improvement, while providing guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee general ledger accounts and complex journal entries
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
• Perform and review bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Assist with audits, tax support, and regulatory reporting
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Provide guidance and review work completed by junior accounting staff
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with month-end close and reconciliations
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ERP systems
• Prior experience mentoring or reviewing staff work
• CPA or CPA-track a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $80,000–$85,000 annually, based on experience
