Position Summary

The Junior Accountant supports the accounting team with daily financial operations, including general ledger activities, reconciliations, and reporting. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who has a strong foundation in accounting principles and is looking to grow in a structured, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with general ledger maintenance and journal entries
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and schedules
• Help identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Assist with financial reports and analysis as requested
• Support audits and compliance activities
• Collaborate with accounting and finance team members on daily operations
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
• 1–3 years of accounting or related experience
• Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ERP or accounting systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay up to $33/hr, based on experience
