Pay: Up to $27 per hour, depending on experience

Position Summary

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing the company’s incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and maintaining customer accounts. This role plays a key part in supporting cash flow, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate, review, and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time
• Apply customer payments (ACH, checks, wire transfers, credit cards) to accounts
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past-due balances
• Communicate with customers regarding billing questions, payment status, and discrepancies
• Research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies promptly
• Prepare account reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities
• Maintain accurate customer records and documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing or credit issues
• Assist with credit reviews and credit limit monitoring as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred
• 2+ years of accounts receivable or related accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles related to receivables
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with ERP or accounting systems
• Knowledge of collections best practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation & Benefits
