Position Summary

The Accounting Specialist supports day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Process invoices, expense reports, and payments accurately and on time
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare journal entries and support financial reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Assist with audits and compliance reporting as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams to support accounting and finance needs
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ERP or accounting systems
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay up to $29/hr, based on experience
